Teavana Chai Concentrate Recipe

Teavana Chai Concentrate is a prepared mix of tea, spices and sweetening, ideal for making tasty chai latte at home. This home-brewed tea replicates the taste of the Teavana concentrate, that can be served hot or cold.

Materials

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 Teavana chai tea bags or normal black chai tea
  • 2 cups Milk or milk equivalent
  • 2 tablespoons honey or any other sweetener of your preferred.
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Brew the tea: Boil 2 cups of water in medium pot. Remove the pan from the stove and then add the chai tea bags allowing the mixture to steep for further five minutes.
  • Mix spices and sweetener: Then mix in honey, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and vanilla extract into the mix well.
  • Add milk: Add the milk and then place the pot back on stove on low heat. Simmer until warm in small containers (some ingredients may be mixed in advance) stirring from time to time but do not use high heat boiling.
  • Serve: Pour into mugs and enjoy them as they are or strain the mixture first. Sip it hot, or allow it to cool then put it on ice – an ideal iced chai latte will be ready.
