Iced Matcha latte Recipe
Iced Matcha Latté Iced comes as a tasty and invigorating drink made from matcha green tea powder, milk and a touch of sugar. Apart from quenching your thirst, this beverage has anti-oxidants that are friendly on the system and a mild caffeine content. Great for a sunny day, or just any time you want a delicious little boost!
- 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 cup milk dairy or plant-based, such as almond, oat, or coconut
- 1-2 teaspoons sweetener honey, agave, or simple syrup - optional
- Ice cubes
Prepare the Matcha: First prepare the matcha by mixing the matcha powder with 1 tbsp of hot water in a very small bowl, using a small whisks or spoon, beat the matcha until it reaches a paste consistency with no lumps. A special whisk for matcha (chasen) is used, but an ordinary whisk or a milk frother can also be used.
Sweeten (Optional): Add sweetener to taste and stir until it dissolves completely.
Add Milk: Pour the milk into a glass filled with ice. For a layered look, pour the matcha mixture slowly over the ice milk.
Stir and Serve: Mix everything together and enjoy your cool, vibrant Iced Matcha Latte!
