Cayman Margarita Recipe

Another Cuban drink; however, Cayman Margarita is a variation of an already popular drink, the margarita; prepared from tequila, mango, and pineapple. This cocktail is a perfect example of enjoying dirty details of Cayman Islands at home during summer while taking a break in the middle of the week.

Materials

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz mango or pineapple puree or juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup optional – if preferred sweetness
  • Ice for frozen version or on the rock
  • Crystal for rimming optional
  • Mineral water lime wedge, tropical fruit for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the glass: Ring your glass with salt or sugar and leave it on the side.
  • Mix the ingredients: Add to a shaker the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, mango or pineapple and the agave syrup if needed.
  • Shake or blend: Stir well with ice for the version that is on the rocks. To serve frozen, mix with ice until slush-like.
  • Serve: Pour it into the glass and serve it in garnishing with lime wedge and tropical fruit.
